Write to us
One person reads that inbox, so you will get a real answer rather than a ticket number. Give it a couple of working days.
What to include
The more of this you can tell us, the faster it gets fixed:
- What you were doing when it went wrong.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
- Your phone and Android version, from Settings → About phone.
- A screenshot, if the screen showed something odd.
Do not send us your backup file or an accountant packet unless we specifically ask. Those hold your customers and your finances, and we would rather not have a copy.
Before you write
A few things come up often enough to answer here.
The map is blank, or it will not find me
Sawhorse needs location access, and it asks the first time it opens. If you said no, nothing is broken and you can turn it on again: Android Settings → Apps → Sawhorse → Permissions → Location. The app will pick it up when you come back.
I got a new phone
Restore from your backup file. On the old phone, Settings → Backup, write the file somewhere safe. On the new one, install Sawhorse and restore from that file. It will ask whether the backup or the phone should win, and take a safety copy before it changes anything.
I do not have a backup and my phone is gone
We are sorry, and we cannot help. There is no cloud copy and no account, which is why nobody but you can see your work — and why nobody, including us, can recover it. If you are reading this and still have your phone, make a backup now.
Is it really free?
Yes. Everything in the app today is free and there is no trial clock. Some things that cost us money to run may be paid later, and they will be clearly marked if they arrive.
Reporting something serious
If you have found a security problem, or something that produces a wrong financial figure, say so in the subject line and we will look at it first.
